Teachers have adventures too
"TWO NIGTS IN BUSH AFTER WALK ERROR" - by Tom Ellison (The Examiner Wed Oct 12 2005)
'A Launceston man was resting at home yesterday after spending an unplanned two nights in bushland near Cradle Valley.
Brian Deacon was reported missing on Monday morning after failing to return from a walk in the remote Reynolds Falls region west of the Cradle Mountain Lodge.'
Yes, that's right. THE Brian Deacon. Making headlines no less. For all of you who aren't from my very illustrious High School years, which is probably a vast majority of you, Brian Deacon was my Grade 8 Maths/Science/Pastoral group teacher.
And now he's lost in the bush. Classic.
